Part 2 explores the requirements for assessment of child progress under tiered quality rating and improvement system (TQRIS) and early childhood special education programs. The presentation identifies tools for the assessment of child development, school readiness, and developmental and health screenings that the TQRIS Hybrid Rating Matrix and early childhood special education programs have in common. Before beginning the presentation, it may be helpful to download the Attachment: Comparison of RTT-ELC and IDEA Assessment Components. The document is not specifically referenced in the presentation, but it was developed as a graphic organizer for development of the presentation content.
Part 3: Supporting TQRIS Personnel to Develop and Measure Outcomes of Children with or at High Risk for Developmental Disabilities
Part 3 discusses the Desired Results Developmental Profile and the Ages and Stages Questionnaire, modifications and adaptations for assessment, use of the California Early Learning Foundations and the California Early Learning Curriculum Frameworks as resources when developing IFSP or IEP outcome statements, and resources for training.
