The ten modules in this course cover all aspects of a child and family's transition from Early Start. This course increases knowledge and awareness of the roles, responsibilities, and requirements of all parties involved in a child's transition at age three.

TRANSITION FROM EARLY START
Transition from Early Start is a free, self-paced online course focused on
the transition of services for children with disabilities out of Early
Start at age three. This course features 10 modules that focus on state and
federal regulations governing the transition process, strategies for
supporting families throughout their child’s transition, and the roles
and responsibilities of Early Start service coordinators, local educational
agency (LEA) staff, family support personnel, and parents. Topics covered
in this course include:
* the family experience,
* options after Early Start,
* timelines and referrals,
* the transition conference,
* transition planning,
* eligibility and planning for services provided under Part B of the IDEA,
* eligibility and planning for services provided under the Lanterman Act,
* information on community resources, and roles and responsibilities.
